1001 Q&A ABOUT KOPPER+ PRODUCTS

When an epidemic breaks out, everyone is double skeptical about which antimicrobial products to choose from. While Kopper+ guarantees to deliver the safest products made of nano ionic copper to fight the Corona virus battle, we are here today to answer all your concerns about whether or not, and how they work.

What are Kopper+’s currently available products?

Kopper+ is now producing copper films, coating agents, gloves, fabrics and masks.

What's unique about Kopper+ non-woven mask?

Our masks are uniformly made with copper ion infused fabric to prevent the virus from penetrating from the mask surface. It has an excellent antibacterial ability, so it can be reused.
KFDA approved KF80, KF94, KF99 as well as FDA approved N95, N99...etc. masks are with the filter efficiency certifications that are determined by the percentage of particles filtered through 0.4 μm to 0.6 μm particles. These certified masks are a mask for filtering out fine particles such as ultrafine dust.
A novel invention, the KOPPER+ non-woven mask is a specially designed mask for blocking/killing viruses. The virus inactivating effect of KOPPER+ non-woven masks has been confirmed through tests of the specialized research institute.

How long can I reuse Kopper+ mask?

When copper forms a coordination complex (Ligand) with the water molecules (moisture), it turns blue.  If copper forms such a complex, the function of antimicrobial activities decreases and that is the indication that you can replace with a new mask when the surface color changes to blue.
Which of the  KOPPER+ mask should I wear?
You can choose which one you prefer. If you want a product that sticks to your face with nose support and increases your antiviral efficacy, choose a non-woven mask. If you like washable and light wear with an antimicrobial function, choose a fashion mask.

Does a virus really get inactivated if it gets on Kopper+ gloves?

The antibacterial properties of copper are already well known the data tested with the KOPPER+ gloves also showed the results of the test that it has an antibacterial power of 99.9% near sterilization.

Can I touch my smartphone well with Kopper+ gloves on?

Yes, you can. You don't have to take off your gloves.

I want to use it when I work. What should I use?

-> We recommend the KOPPER+ with eco-friendly silicon embossing because it has added anti-slip features.

What are the applications for Kopper+ fabrics?

There are two types of Kopper+ fabrics: Adhesive and non-Adhesive.

The Adhesive fabric adheres smoothly to any texture such as wood, glass, plastic and fabric. It can be applied to door knobs, handles, poles, kindergarten play desks, stools, hospital bed handles,...

The non-Adhesive fabric can be applied on the vehicle seat and head cover of public transportation (aircraft, bus, train, taxi,...). It is also used to make protective medical gown, bedsheet, tablecloth, pillow cover,... especially in medical centers.

What is Kopper+ film made of?

The base plastic is polyethylene or thermoplastic polyurethane material used in household goods, toys, electrical insulators, radio and television cases, and packaging materials. The antimicrobial copper is used to compound together with the plastic, to produce a film.
For more information regarding antimicrobial copper, please find the interview by Professor Bill Keevil, Professor of Environmental Healthcare from the University of Southampton on the COVID-19 with Sally Taylor on BBC South

What are the applications of this film?

Typically, it is applied to apartments, hotels, department stores, lifts....etc. any surfaces that are touchable / contactable by an unspecified number of people. It can also be applied to school desks with antimicrobial non-slip pads for students.
We have several different products that are installed onto surfaces in different ways: Mainly adhesive, non-adhesive, and mould / shrink onto any surface.

Is there a test proving that no virus/bacteria/allergies are deposited on the film?

There is a certificate of 99.999% antibacterial activity against E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pneumococcal, and MRSA from KCL (Korea Conformity Laboratories).

What is the life of the film, i.e. # of touches, year, etc…?

As there is no institution that certifies a lifetime of antibacterial activity in Korea, the antimicrobial activity was the same as in the initial stage when the test was conducted for a period of 1 year and 6 months.
Therefore, it is said that the lifetime is at least 1 year and 6 months.

What is the warranty provided for this film?

Typically, a 1-year warranty period without physical damage for the non-adhesive film. We recommend replacing the film every 12 months. For the adhesive film, the warranty is up to 6 months after installation. Warranty pre-condition: Applicable for all products installed by our technicians.
If film cracks in between, is there a risk of transmission of virus/bacteria/allergies?
It is compounded and produced by extrusion and injection, so it has the same antimicrobial activity unless it is completely torn.
